cirque du soleil, corteo.
cirque du soleil is pretty much always good. but “corteo” is REALLY good. i’ve also seen “o” (one years ago in vegas) and “verakai” (two years ago). “corteo” is the best of the bunch. primarily cause it’s a helluva lot more twisted. i suppose it helps that we got $100 tickets and were sitting in the fourth row and could actually see details on the faces of the people. oh man. totally worth the $50 extra or whatever. meep meep!
the synopsis for “corteo” is basically… this clown dies and the show goes through his procession after death to heaven. or at least that’s what it seems like. some trippy shit, with some pretty cool costumes. below are my favorite clips:
helium dance act, with short midget lady. she was ridiculously cute. there was also a midget man. they were the same size hehe. he was less cute, but still awesome.
wheel act. weeeee.
this one is actually kinda different. the girl wasn’t in the version we saw.
by the way, cirque is based in montreal and there were like, a couple americans and a couple canadians. most everyone was ukranian, russian, or from some other part of the former soviet union. i bet their accents are fecking hot.

also forgot to say… there was this indian bitch next to me who like brought her little kid… neither of them were really even watching the show, but that didn’t bother me. what bothered me was that she had an EMPTY SEAT right next to her and yet she still kept insisting on fucking taking up half my chair (because my legs were crossed, she could push her leg into my seat). she insisted on being so close to me that her kids fucking head was on my shoulder and her leg was pressed up against my thigh. holy shit. it was annoying. i was unable to concentrate on the show for the ten minutes that she was doing that. i just kept moving around and bumping back til she finally stopped. when the intermission came (she came in late, by the way, so she only saw like, 15 minutes), she left.
