child geniuses.
I was listening to the radio this morning and it was talking about a kid who is 9 years old… and he is enrolled in both 4th grade AND the local community college (taking computer science, webpage design, algebra, etc.) ~ but anyways…
The radio people (the Doghouse) were asking the kid, “what do you do for fun?” and he was like “go on the computer…” So they asked, “When yoo’re NOT on the computer, what do you do? Or do you have no time for anything else?” He’s like, “Well, I don’t really have time to do anything else…” How sad if yoo’re a nine-year-old kid and yoo don’t even have tym to do anything but sit on the computer all day… >_< I mean it is sad when yur older, but being a kid is the greatest tym of your life… and if yoo waste it like that… it’s just a shame. I dun like those parents. They allow that kid to be a 9-year-old enrolled in college. And he has a sister who is 13, who is also enrolled in college.
I think the parents must have really pushed them for them to be that way. They shouldn’t do that… the parents said that their kids were BORED so they made them learn more… they made them math flashcards when they were five… -_- I mean… hello… yes, yoo have a smart kid, but yoo shouldn’t allow them to sit there and be a vegetable. Being smart isn’t everything.
Which comes to mai conclusion ~ even if I had the choice to trade lives, brains, whatevers, with that nine-year-old kid, I wouldn’t. He obviously doesn’t KNOW that he should be like other kids out playing, because he isn’t like other kids, but later, when he grows up, he’ll know how much stuff he missed when he was younger… and the knowledge of THAT would suck.
